It's good that it is working now. But in future if you see the same issue again which does not resolve by restarting the services you should consider moving to OPM 404 build.

Do you have any AutoCAD script tools?  There are many utilities (i.e. multi-batch) that will allow you to run scripts on multiple dwgs at once.
