Forum Post: RE: OPPID: functions in ECExpression

Good morning Justinas, Sorry it took me so long to answer but I have been busy on other projects. I have been looking at the wiki page and I have been trying but somewhere I must be doing something wrong. In the wiki page you refer to the .net reference guides. When I look at the guides they refer directly to an object, e.g. when I refer to a operation to a string it should be in the form of stringvar .ToUpper. When you do the same in the wiki then the syntax is System.String.ToUpper( stringVar ). So there is a difference between the syntax in the class editor and in the .net reference. When I try to set up what I need ( I need to create a string with a constant length ) according to the .net guide I need to use the syntax stringvar .PadLeft (5, "0") Witch creates a string of min. 5 chars with 0's on the left side if nessecary. But that does not work in PowerPid. Any suggestions? Kind regards. Wim A.
