Try to load the spec in access and perform a compact and repair.  Compare the size of the spec before and after.  If it goes down significantly, than you had alot of erroneous data left in the database. You shoud make it a habit to do this regularly, as Access databases typically get alot of junk in them in multi-user environments.   You may also want to consider using SQL DB to store your live project specs, and using Access only for spec building/modifications.  This way you can work on your spec without interrupting your design team's work. Hope that helps! Jesse
