How to copy Specialty Items and Tie In Points into the ISO Project.

Please find below the steps for moving over the Specialty Items and Tie In Points from the Imperial project into the ISO project.
Add Components into the User Task Menu:
Goal: Copy the Specialty Symbol and Tie-In Symbol from the IMPERIAL dgnlib file into the ISO dgnlib file.
- Open the C:\ProgramData\Bentley\PowerPID (SELECTseries 5)\WorkSpace\Projects\OPPowerPID_Imperial\Dataset\dgnlibs\PIDProjectSymbols.dgnlib file in OpenPLANT Powerpid.
- Select WorkSpace Customize.
- In the left window pane expand User Tools > PidProjectSymbols.dgnlib > Miscellaneous.
- Right Click on Specialty Item and Select Copy.
- Open a secondary session of OpenPLANT P&ID and open the ISO Project’s PIDProjectSymbols.dgnlib file.
- Select Workspace Customize.
- In the left window pane expand User Tools > PidProjectSymbols.dgnlib > Miscellaneous.
- Right Click on the Miscellaneous section and Paste.
- For Tie In Component – Use exact steps above and copy and paste this item into the Miscellaneous section for the ISO project.
- In ISO – Drag and drop the Specialty Symbol into the right window Tasks section as shown below. Do the same for the Tie-In Symbol.
- Save and Exit. Close both sessions.
Class Editor Modifications:
Goal: Two Modifications needed. Modify the .Net Assembly placement routines. Modify the Bubble Radius.
- Open Class Editor.
- Load and Supplement the OpenPLANT_PID.01.03 schema.
- Search for the Specialty_Item Class.
- Right Click on the Specialty_Item class and select Custom Attributes… > Add Remove.
- Add the .Net Assembly Class Information custom attribute as shown below:
- In the Class tab scroll to the new section and add the information as shown below:
- For Tie In components follow the same steps as above and modify the Custom Attribute .Net Assembly Class Information as shown below:

Modifying the Bubble Radius:
- Select the Properties Tab.
- Select the Bubble_Radius property.
- Select Override.
- Modify the “PropertyCustomAttributes” from .25 to 6 as shown below:
- Perform these steps for both Specialty Item and Tie In.
- Save and Exit Class Editor.
- Open P&ID results:
