Hello Ian, I do not know if both (lab-joint stub end or slip on flange) are not right ones for me (after searching web and seeing some images). Slip om flange: Lab joint flange: The loose flange with collar (for austenitic stainless CrNi-steel and austenitic stainless CrNiMo-steel) that I need is according to standard EN 1092-1, types 02 & 35. For smaller pipes can be used type 11, too . As you can see inside red rectangle below (table is only for PN10 but form of the loose flange is similar for PN6, PN16, PN25, and PN40), loose flanges are without a “neck”. There are more flange types 11 for pressure classes PN25 and PN40 and for PN63 type 11 is the only possible. If needed I can send you collection of the EN flange tables. Normally collars and flanges are provided from same vendor. Material of the collar is according to pipe material (austenitic stainless CrNi-steel and austenitic stainless CrNiMo-steel) and loose flange material usually is steel (P265GH) for saving money. About welding mark: I want it to be there. There is always a welding connection between a collar and pipe.
