Problem Description
Error messages appears: Error -8 getting license from PIPE_PIPE (55) when placing components like Pipes or elbows.
Steps to Resolve
Option 1 Check Licenses
Check if license files are present and information in license files are correct
Under Help – About MicroStation / PlantSpace Design Series check if the correct license information is returned.
Option 2 Check ODBC and database
Check if ODBC connect to correct database and access to database is granted
Option 3 New installation
Deinstall used products as MicroStation, Triforma, PlantSpace Design Series Modeller.
Install again in this order: MicroStation, Triforma, PlantSpace Design Series Modeller.
