Applies To Product(s): AutoPLANT Isometrics Version(s): 08.09.02.02, 08.09.03.30, 08.09.03.49 Environment: N/A Area: N/A Subarea: N/A Original Author: Bentley Technical Support Group To Use a Custom Border in AutoPLANT Isometrics: 1. Take your border DWG and place it in the folder for the desired project: C:\Bentley Plant Projects\SAMPLE_IMPERIAL\Config\borders\ for example. 2. Now start AutoPLANT Isometrics and load the desired border file but do not load Isometrics. To set the border nodes for this to be used properly with Isometrics. Follow these steps: Drawing Nodes and Drawing border customization. Border nodes are special points associated with the border, such as the location of the north arrow in an Isometrics drawing. These nodes are used by the AutoPLANT application for default placement of information with respect to the border. The border editor provides a user interface allowing the user to manipulate border nodes. To execute the border editor feature enter the following command at the AutoCAD command line: (at_Border_editNodes) A dialog box is displayed that allows the user to display, add, move, rename and delete border nodes existing in the currently opened border drawing. This feature can only be executed with the AutoPLANT module loaded and a border drawing has been inserted into the drawing editor. This feature can also be run inside Piping or Isometrics once a border is inserted into the Piping or Isometric drawing. Once the user has edited the border nodes, the border drawing should be saved. The default set of AutoPLANT borders each contain four border nodes: AT_NORTH_ARROW: for placement of the north arrow in an Isometric drawing BOM-PT: for placement of the bill of materials. AISOLL: Lower left corner of the Auto Isometrics boundary AISOUR: Upper right corner of the Auto Isometrics boundary You should now be able to use the border with Isometrics. Repeat for other border drawings as desired. Just modify the path to point to the different projects for different clients.
