Applies To Product(s): AutoPLAANT Modeler Version(s): 08.11.11.121 Environment: Windows 7 (64 bit) Area: Installation Subarea: Original Author: Bentley Technical Support Group Background Unable to open dcl file error may appear when installing AutoPLANT SS6 on a machine which previously had AutoPLANT SS7 installed or registries from some other AutoPLANT version Reason The entries from the new AutoPLANT version resides even after uninstalling AutoPLANT hence giving error Steps to Resolve 1. Uninstall AutoPLANT SS6 2. Manually delete folders from below path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley\Plant V8i\ C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Bentley Shared\Plant V8i\ C:\ProgramData\Bentley\Plant V8i\ 3. Rename attached file to ‘ss7regfiles.reg’ and run. Make sure AutoPLANT applications are closed. Do make backup of complete registry 4. Install AutoPLANT SS6 Still a Problem If there is still some problem and you cannot connect to OPIM after trying the above suggestion, then please create a Service Request and contact Bentley Product Advantage group along with the list of all relevant details to get in depth analysis and for possible solution or workarounds.
