Applies To Custom Line Annotation Product(s): Bentley OpenPlant PowerPID Version(s): V8i SS5 Environment: Any Area: Class Editor Subarea: Process Line Annotation Customization Original Author: Brandon Moberg, Bentley Technical Support Group In this process we will modify the existing annotation format for a process line (Pipeline) so that the annotation string will be the following format the Line Number-Spec-Size. The confusion with Pipeline annotation is that it can pull information from the Pipeline itself or the PipeRun (Piping Segment). When a pipeline annotation is about to be placed and the user hovers over a pipe run then all of the annotation's properties that match a property of the pipe run object are placed in the drawing as annotation. It is very important to note that the application differentiates all data coming from the Pipeline (Major Pipeline) with the prefix PIPELINE_. For example if the user wants to create a new property for the Process Pipeline's Service the property name would be "PIPELINE_SERVICE". Where the Piping Segment properties would not have this prefix and would just be "SERVICE". The following video outlines how to accomplish this Pipeline Annotation using the OPPowerPID_Imperial Project. (Please visit the site to view this video)
