Bear, First ProjectWise has no role when dealing with OpenPlant specifications. OpenPlant specification are part of the OpenPlant project. OpenPlant has the capability to run in what we term Stand Alone mode. This is simply installing OpenPlant modeler with the common workspace being managed on a file share or locally depending on how you determine to implement the product. OpenPlant can also be used in a component based environment. This does require ProjectWise as well as another application called OpenPlant Model Server that handles OpenPlant client requests. I hope that clears up the confusion a little.
