Applies To Product(s): OpenPlant ModelServer Version(s): 08.11.09.XXX Environment: Windows 7 64 bit Area: Projectwise Subarea: Original Author: Harpreet Singh, Bentley Technical Support Group Background When we have setup the OpenPlant ModelServer repository in Projectwise and when open any file, by default it connects to the repository. This article will explain how the default connection with OPMS can be disabled with various options. There is a configuration variable in opms.cfg file in C:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley\OpenPlantModeler V8i\OpenPlantModeler\config\appl folder which helps in disabling the default connection with OPMS reporsitory. OPMS_DEFAULT_CONNECTION_MODE, By default it's value is 1 which means default connection mode. Disable the connection for specific project in PW Managed Workspace Launch Projectwise Admin and login to the datasource. Go to Project CSB and double click on the project to open the properties dialog. In the Properties dialog switch to Configuration tab and click on Add button. Add the configuration variable in the dialog box as shown below: Click on Add button in the same dialog and set the operation type to assignment, Value type to String and value to 2. Click OK on subsequent dialogs and click APPLY on properties dialog to apply the changes. In PW explorer, re-login to the datasource and open any file. It will open without connection to OPMS. Disable the OPMS connection in Standalone Mode By default when you open a model in standalone mode, you see dialog to connect to the repository. But if you don't want to connect to the repository then you can use the same configuration variable to disable the dialog box. Open the model in OPM. Go to Workspace>Configuration. Locate OPMS_DEFAULT_CONNECTION_MODE in the list and edit it. Change the value to 2 and save it. Comments or Corrections?
