Applies To Product(s): OpenPlant Modeler & OpenPlant Isometrics Manager Version(s): 08.11.09.278 Environment: N/A Area: Settings/Attributes Subarea: Original Author: Justinas Lipnickas, Bentley Technical Support Group Adding a custom property to the OpenPlant Modeler component, and getting that property to display in the Bill Of Material of the generated Isometrics. Steps to Accomplish In class Editor, Open OpenPlant3D schema, locate the class you will be editing (PIPE_ELBOW in this sample). Add a new property in the Properties tab. If required, map it to the Catalog data, have it calculated by using appropriate Custom Attributes on the property; Save the schema. Supplement it with the Supplemental Isometrics_Isoextractor schema; Go to Class tab, scroll down to find "Specific BOM Labels" Custom Attribute. It is already present for the PIPE_ELBOW class. If it not already added to the class you're modifying, rigth on a class go to Custom Attribute->Add/Remove and add it. Alternativelly, you can copy this custom attribute from lets say PIPE_ELBOW to your class. In the Custom Attribute, right click and select Add Element, enter the name and the value of the item. Save and close the schema. Go to your project workspace, DataSet\Isometrics\Styles\IFC\Config\report.def and add your property to the Material list: You should now be able to see your custom property in the BOM of your generated Isometrics. Comments or Corrections? Bentley's Technical Support Group requests that you please confine any comments you have on this Wiki entry to this "Comments or Corrections?" section. THANK YOU!
