Background During Reports generation, user requirement is to extract a report which includes Support elements. It has been found that the reports generated does not contain EC_CLASS_NAME value in report. After exporting the report from grid view to an excel file, it is required to control/filter the list as per EC_CLASS_NAME. Below steps illustrates on how to add the property to Support class and then to get inside the report. It can be experienced using OpenPlant Reporting product or through DGN reporting inside the OpenPlant Modeler. See image below for Grid type report without EC_CLASS_NAME value: Steps to Accomplish Launch the Bentley Class Editor and open the following schemas: OpenPlant_3D.01.04.ecschema.xml Schema User can check out the schema for modifying it in class editor from the project root mentioned below. (%ProjectRoot%...\Projects\Project_Name\DataSet\Schemas\) Supplement it with, OpenPlant_3D_Supplemental_Modeling.01.04.ecschema. (%ProjectRoot%...\Projects\Project_Name\DataSet\Schemas\). Supplement it with, OpenPlant_3D_Supplemental_ModelingViews.01.04.ecschema. (%ProjectRoot%...\Projects\Project_Name\DataSet\Schemas\) Note: For DGN reporting inside the modeler, User could navigate the schema folder form local machine. In the OpenPlant3D.01.04 schema, navigate to Classes\Plant Base Object\Named Item\Device\Piping Component. Go to Properties tab and copy property EC_CLASS_NAME by using right click on it. (An easier way to copy the property and applying it on different class along with the custom attribute). Navigate to navigate to Classes\Plant Base Object\Named Item\Device\Support. Do a right click on it and Paste the property. Save & close Class Editor. Check in Schema back to repository. Open Model and place pipeline & supports to see it in report. Launch OpenPlant Reporting . Select Project and DGN file for which reports needed to generate. Browse Reports and go to ‘Piping Components’ tab. Create a new report type which includes support class in it. Say BOM_Total here. Generate reports & verify results. See image below for Grid Type report.
