This article will explain the steps of creating a custom angle valve. Steps to Accomplish Using MS drawing tools create elements as shown below: Note: This is important to keep the orientation of valve as shown above, otherwise it will not place inline. Select the elements and open Component Manager. Click 'Create Components from Elements' icon as highlighted in red box in the dialog box below: Key-in the class name and Display label and select ANGLE_VALVE class from the class view and click Next. Select Valves.cel from cell library drop down menu. In the same dialog box, click Origin button to define it and set the origin at Intersection point as shown below and click Next. Define the Connect Points as shown below: If you want to add/remove any property for annotation, you can add/remove here and click Next. Now select the Valves node under Process to add it to the DGNLIB and click Finish. Drag the Custom Angle Valve tool from right side to the user tasks. Once the above process is complete, you will see the custom valve under valves tasks. Switch to the DGN file and place the valve to verify. Comments or Corrections?
