Applies To Product(s): OpenPlant PID Version(s): 08.11.10.XXX Environment: Windows 7 64 bit Area: Component Subarea: Graphics Original Author: Harpreet Singh, Bentley Technical Support Group Introduction When we place Fittings like Flange connection, couplings in the drawing they do not break the pipe runs. This is because the Base class defined on them is BASE_INRUN_NOBREAK. If you change the Base class to BASE_FITTING_INRUN the issue will be solved. Steps to Accomplish Open class editor and load pid.01.03 schema. Now load OpenPlant_PID schema and supplement it with OpenPlant_PID_Supplemental_ISO schema. Go to FLANGED_CONNECTION class and right click on it. Select Base classes option from it. From the list select BASE_FITTING_INRUN and add it to Added classes section by clicking the down button. Remove the base class BASE_INRUN_NOBREAK. Similarly, perform same steps for COUPLING class. Remove BASE_INRUN_NOBREAK and add BASE_FITTING_INRUN. Save the changes in schema and verify the result in OPPID. Comments or Corrections? Bentley's Technical Support Group requests that you please confine any comments you have on this Wiki entry to this "Comments or Corrections?" section. THANK YOU!
