I have noticed on occasion that even though AutoCAD is closed, the process will not be killed and will continue to keep a lock on the file. Try to go to Processes tab of the Windows Task Manager on her machine and see if there are any listings for ACAD.EXE process in the list (make sure all active sessions of AutoCAd have been saved and closed first). If there are, end the process and see if the drawing becomes available.
