The model will work as in it will load and display component data etc., but certain functions such as Update from Spec and a few of the advanced spec repair functions actually do go back to the original specs/catalogs to retreive data. These functions will return errors if you attempt to execute them on the model when the specs do not exist in the currect project's spec directory. You also will not be able to place new components with the specs to match the old model, as only the components from within the current project's specs will be available to place. HTH Jesse
