Hello all,
Beginning with SQL Server 2008 and higher changes were made to make SQL Server more secure. In SQL Server 2008 and later the local Windows Group BUILTIN\Administrator is no longer provisioned as a login in the SQL Server sysadmin fixed server role by default.
A link to the complete article from Microsoft is located here:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2184138
When working in the Bentley Class Editor and using the database mapping tools the user that logs into SQL Server when the database instance was created must have the sysadmin permissions.
THIS IS NOT the user defined for the database connection to the SQL Server instance when creating a SQL Server based project within Project Administrator.
